Original Concept Character

Design an original character for a video game.
Using the back story, design an image that sets the mood.
Back story:
As a child he was given to the Templars by his parents as a mark of faith. Our character has known nothing else but the code of the Templars his whole life.
Following the siege and battle for Jerusalem in the crusade of 1099, our character refused to comply with orders of the massacre of the inhabitants of the city after their surrender.
As punishment, the Templar's blinded him in one eye and he was cast out of the order and left to die.
After escaping, he adopts the weapon of his enemies, and now prowls the desert looking for revenge.
